Dr. Ibrahim Saber opened Governor of CairoIt is the fourth one-day market in Cairo, which was established in cooperation between Cairo Governorate, the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, and the Holding Company for Food Industries in Ain Shams district, next to Ain Shams Central, to serve the Al-Marj and Ain Shams regions to provide high-quality food commodities at prices lower than their counterparts in the markets, with percentages starting from 20%. And up to 50% in some goods.
Cairo Governor: 16 markets will be held on a weekly basis this month in four different regions
On the sidelines of the opening, the Governor of Cairo confirmed that this month Cairo will witness the establishment of 16 weekly markets in four regions: East Nasr City, Helwan, Al-Amiriya, and Ain Shams, where the places with the highest population density are targeted to ensure that the largest possible number of citizens benefit from the discounts offered and work to provide Food products at reduced prices and high quality in cooperation with the Ministry of Supply, the Chamber of Commerce, public and private sector companies, and various community initiatives.
The Governor of Cairo indicated that the idea of the one-day market is based on increasing the commodity supply and reducing the price, stressing that all executive agencies are working to implement the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to reduce the burden on citizens, provide goods at appropriate prices, and provide them with various possible forms of support.
The Governor of Cairo called on citizens to obtain their weekly needs from the one-day markets, and to benefit from the discounts.
The Governor of Cairo stated that presence in the market is available to all exhibitors, whether public or private sector companies, civil society associations, and Obour Market merchants, provided that the prices of the products are not less than 30% of their counterparts in the market.
