Actress Yousra announced her apology for attending the closing ceremony of this year’s El Gouna Film Festival, noting that this was due to some of her artistic connections.
Yousra confirmed in her interview with Cairo 24 that her failure to attend the festival’s closing ceremony is due to professional and cinematic connections that prevent her from being present at the closing event. Yousra explained that these connections are related to artistic projects that she is currently working on, and they form part of her commitment to presenting artistic works worthy of her audience.
Although she did not attend the closing ceremony, Yousra expressed her deep happiness with the activities witnessed by the festival this year, noting that the El Gouna Film Festival has become an important platform for supporting and developing Arab and international cinema.

Yousra previously praised the wonderful organization that was keen to present the festival in the best possible light, stressing that this artistic event has become an annual station that brings together artists and filmmakers from all over the world and provides them with the opportunity for cultural and artistic exchange.
Yousra added that she eagerly followed many of the films shown during the festival, and that she feels proud of the notable progress the festival has achieved year after year, and praised the efforts made by the work team organizing the festival, which contributed greatly to attracting media and public interest.
