E&Misr announced the start of manufacturing the first completely local router in Egypt within the factories of the Egyptian Company for Silicon Industries (Sico Egypt) in Assiut Governorate. This achievement comes within the framework of E&Misr’s strategy, which aims to enhance local manufacturing and provide innovative technical devices that meet the needs of its customers in the market, with a focus on exporting Egyptian products to global markets.
The new router designed with 4.5G technology is the first of its kind to be manufactured locally by an Egyptian company, which represents a qualitative shift in the technology and communications sector within Egypt. The router was designed in cooperation with the Chinese company ToZed, a leader in designing and manufacturing network peripherals, with more than 20 years of experience.
ToZed is currently transferring its advanced expertise to the “Sico Egypt” factory in Assiut, to ensure the provision of high-quality products that comply with international standards, in order to achieve excellence for “E&Misr” customers. This step represents part of the company’s commitment to supporting local manufacturing, and embodies and is in line with its vision to develop technical infrastructure and contribute to achieving sustainable economic development.
The cooperation between E&Misr and SICO Egypt represents an important step towards strengthening Egypt’s position as a regional center for technology and digital manufacturing, opening new horizons for local industries in the field of communications and information technology.
Engineer Ahmed Yahya, CEO of E& for Financial Technology and Digital Applications, expressed his happiness at the start of manufacturing the first Egyptian router at Sico’s factories in Assiut.
