“New Beginning” convoys in the Red Sea provide integrated medical services to 1,265 cases during November

The medical convoy team in the Red Sea Governorate organized 7 integrated medical convoys during the month of November 2024. This comes within the framework of the President of the Republic’s initiative for human development, “A New Beginning,” and the activities continued over a period of 14 days.

Medical convoys provided their services to 1,265 cases

Dr. Salwa Shazly Muhammad, Director of the Convoy Department, explained that the medical convoys provided services to 1,265 cases, including medical examination and dispensing treatment for 1,226 cases, and blood and parasite analyzes were performed for 81 cases, in addition to early detection of hypertension, diabetes, and chronic diseases for 248 cases.

The convoy services included a number of medical specialties, such as internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, children, family planning, and dentistry. Ultrasounds were performed for 162 cases and health education was provided for 233 cases. Four cases were transferred to hospitals affiliated with the governorate for further investigation TreatmentTheir condition will be followed up after the transfer.

Dr. Ismail Al-Arabi confirmed that all examinations, examinations, and treatment were provided free of charge to ensure that health services reach all the people of the cities and villages of the Red Sea Governorate. The initiative aims to strengthen health services in remote and deprived areas and provide medical support to all groups.
