Are you ready for new phones and iOS 17? Apple’s next event will be on September 12.
Apple’s annual event and conference
Officially – Apple announced that its next big event will be held on September 12 at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. The “Wonderlust” event will be broadcast live starting at 8pm KSA time.
Apple is expected to announce several new products, including the iPhone 15 and Apple Watch Series 9, in addition to the next generation Apple Watch Ultra (which debuted in 2022).
This is likely to make the iPhone 15 the biggest buzz, with the exception of any unexpected announcements that Apple will make. The most notable and expected latest is the switch to the charging ports to USB-C and the periscope lens (for longer optical zoom), which is expected to be exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Next mobile operating system release, iOS 17
Apple is also expected to announce the release date of its next phone operating system, iOS 17, which features contact stickers, direct voicemail messages, and improved autocorrect. In the past two years, Apple has released its latest iOS update a little less than a week after the September event.
CNET’s Zachary McAuliffe expects Apple to release iOS 17 on Monday, September 18.
Apple’s popular September event will be held at the Steve Jobs Theater at the company’s headquarters, and will likely include select media demonstrations of any device Apple announces.
