Minister of Housing: 18 thousand citizens have paid seriously to reserve housing apartments for all Egyptians 5
The Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities indicated that the specifications for the announcement are available in large numbers in all the announced mechanized post offices, stressing the continuation of printing the specifications and supplying them to post offices to meet the increasing demand from citizens and facilitate the public’s access to them easily.
90 thousand terms and conditions brochures were sold during the first day
Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Support Fund, explained that 90,000 conditions brochures were sold during the first day of the brochure being put out at post offices for all citizens, including people of determination, and 18,000 citizens paid the serious reservation.
The CEO of the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Support Fund indicated that the monitoring and follow-up committee for the new announcement observed severe crowding in front of the post offices where the conditions booklets were available during the first day, which is unjustified, especially since the announcement continues for a whole month until December 24, 2024, and that Requirements documents are widely available in post offices.
The timing of purchasing the conditions document and priority for the citizen
The CEO of the Social Housing Fund stressed that the timing of purchasing the conditions booklet will not affect the citizen’s priority at all, as the Fund applies a specific system to prioritize applicants, where the married person and his dependents come first, then the widow/widower and his dependents, then the divorced/divorced man and his dependents, then The married man with no dependents, then the single person, which includes (the divorced man with no dependents, the widower with no dependents, the widow with no dependents, the divorced woman with no dependents), and priority is given to the family with the least number in the case of a married person/ The widower/divorced person with dependents, in case the number is equal and priority is given to the eldest.
Mai Abdel Hamid added that the Fund decided to increase the number of mechanized post offices in which the conditions documents are available to about 400 post offices instead of 350 post offices, as a quick and immediate solution to the crisis of crowding in front of post offices, and an attempt to make it easier for citizens and ensure that they all obtain the conditions documents easily and smoothly.
The CEO of the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Support Fund indicated that the Monitoring and Follow-up Committee dealt with a number of complaints about some offices and individuals who claim their ability to allocate housing units for citizens within the new announcement, or collect sums of money for preparing application files for citizens in a manner contrary to the truth.
Mai Abdel Hamid confirmed that the Fund dealt firmly with these complaints, as it took the necessary legal measures and filed a report against the office in Obour, and a number of reports are being filed against the rest of the offices and companies that exploit citizens’ interest in the presidential initiative, Housing for All Egyptians, and seek to collect money from them or defraud them.
