The Egyptian National Railway Authority begins implementing its decision to temporarily suspend the operation of two passenger trains No. 3022 – 3021 / 3020 – 3019 and a third air-conditioned Mansoura/Alexandria and vice versa during the winter season, due to low busyness.
The authority issued RailwayInstructions to the long and short distance sectors, marketing, sales, customer service, maintenance and youth support in the regions, on the necessity of implementing the decision to temporarily stop the operation of the aforementioned trains on the Mansoura/Alexandria line and vice versa during the specified period.
Operating a new service in Upper Egypt between Cairo and Nag Hammadi
In a related context, the Egyptian National Railway Authority, today, Sunday, November 24, 2024, began operating a new service in Upper Egypt with French-developed air-conditioned cars between Cairo – Naga Hammadi and vice versa, within the framework of the Authority’s keenness to provide the best service to the public of passengers and in implementation of the directives of Engineer Mohamed Amer, President. Body.
Regarding train times, they are as follows:
As of today, Sunday, 11/24/2024, train 992 Cairo – Naga Hammadi will operate with the installation of 10 upgraded French air-conditioned cars. It will depart from Cairo station at 00:15 and arrive at Naga Hammadi station at 23:15.
As of tomorrow, Monday, 11/25/2024, train 993 Sohag – Cairo will operate, departing from Naga Hammadi station at 02:05 and arriving at Cairo station at 10:20 with the same composition as train 992 to Naga Hammadi station, according to the attached schedules.
