The Iranian News Agency stated that the Public Relations of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces announced that the Chief of the General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces will head to Tehran today at the head of a high-level military delegation.
The Public Relations of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces added that the Chief of the General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Fayyad bin Hamid Al-Ruwaili, will arrive at the head of a high-level military delegation and will meet with the Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri.
She indicated that the two sides are scheduled to discuss bilateral relations and defense relations during their meeting.
This visit comes after telephone discussions between Major General Bagheri and Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman, which dealt with regional developments, raising the level of defense cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries, and important issues in the Islamic world.
