The Minister of Housing inaugurates the old Damietta Water Station after its rehabilitation and development

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister, opened the ceremony Housing Utilities and urban communities, and Dr. Ayman Al-Shehabi, Governor of Damietta, a project to rehabilitate, develop and raise the efficiency of the old Damietta water station, in the presence of officials from the Ministry and the governorate, the New Urban Communities Authority, and the drinking water and sanitation facilities sector.

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Dr. Ayman El-Shehaby, and their companions toured the various components of the station to check on the progress of work in the water purification stages and the status of sample analysis in the station’s laboratory. The Minister directed the necessity of adhering to following standard procedures in management, operation and periodic maintenance, and the importance of preserving assets and maximizing benefit. Including, to ensure the sustainability of providing services to citizens with the highest quality.

The Minister of Housing and the Governor of Damietta also reviewed the work progress of the customer service center of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company in Damietta, as well as the mobile customer service vehicles, and listened to an explanation about the services provided to citizens, as the Minister directed the necessity of providing service to citizens at the highest level, and working to resolve citizens’ complaints in Fastest time.

The Minister explained that the project to rehabilitate, develop and raise the efficiency of the old Damietta Water Station was implemented through the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation affiliated with the Ministry, as part of a group of drinking water and sanitation projects that were completed in Damietta Governorate, since President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi took office.
