Engineer Adel Al-Najjar, Governor of Giza, conducted a surprise inspection tour this evening, Wednesday, to follow up on the progress of work at Imbaba General Hospital to ensure the regularity of work in the hospital and the presence of medical staff and nursing teams during the evening work shifts.

The Governor of Giza also followed up on the position of receiving patients in the reception and emergency departments, while reviewing with the Director of the Health Directorate the admission lists of cases, stressing the necessity of periodic follow-up by the Directorate and health departments to ensure the regularity of work in the hospital on an ongoing basis, and constant readiness for any emergency situations because the hospital serves a large segment. Citizens from the neighborhoods of Imbaba, Agouza, Al-Munira Al-Gharbiyya and their surroundings, in addition to expatriates.
The Governor of Giza was also keen to inspect the nurseries department and review the maintenance lists to ensure the operation of all units, directing the Director of the Health Directorate to take the necessary measures to ensure the continuity of work in all units within the department with maximum efficiency and to reduce the duration of maintenance and repair of faults as much as possible in cooperation with the concerned authorities.
Al-Najjar also inspected the safe disposal unit for hazardous medical waste, stressing the need to provide direct paths for waste to exit the unit and transport it through means of transportation designated for this purpose to safe disposal sites equipped for that.
The governor’s tour included the intensive care and dialysis departments, the pharmacy, the central administration for health research and development, and the central kitchen for preparing meals and food for patients.
The governor was accompanied during the tour by Mohamed Nour, Acting Secretary-General of the Governorate, Mohamed Marei, Head of Giza City, Zaki Salam, Head of Agouza District, Dr. Wael Shaaban, Head of the Central Administration for Governor’s Office Affairs, Ashraf Bakr, Head of Imbaba District, Dr. Amal Rushdi, Director of the Health Affairs Directorate in Giza, and Shafiq Galal, Head of the General Authority for Cleaning and Beautification.
