Yesterday, Tuesday, Major General Dr. Alaa Abdel Moati, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, mourned with great sadness and sorrow the player Mohamed Shawky, a player for Kafr El-Sheikh Sports Club, who passed away yesterday morning, Tuesday, after a struggle with the disease due to the health crisis he went through nearly a week ago. During his team’s match, Kafr El-Sheikh, against Al-Qazzazin, in the Second Premier League B.

The Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, Dr. Ezzat Mahrous, dispatched the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Kafr El-Sheikh, to participate in the funeral of the player Mohamed Shawqi, and to offer condolences to his family in the city of Mahalla El-Kubra, directing his condolences to the family of the player Mohamed Shawqi, praying to God Almighty to cover him with His vast mercy, and to grant him peace. For its part, the Board of Directors of Kafr El-Sheikh Club mourned the player Mohamed Shawky, the star of the first team, who passed away yesterday, Tuesday, declaring mourning for 3 days within the club, and holding a condolence marquee today, Wednesday.

The official page of the Kafr El-Sheikh Club published an obituary statement on Facebook, saying: To God we belong and to Him we shall return. The funeral of our son and brother, the player Mohamed Shawky, from his hometown of Lebsheit in Mahalla al-Kubra, was held. The funeral will take place on Wednesday, November 20, at the Social Club headquarters from five o’clock in the evening until It’s ten o’clock in the evening, and Glory be to Him who is at work… and the club’s board of directors decided to declare a state of mourning… and suspend sports activities for 3 days.

The death of Mohamed Shawky, Kafr El-Sheikh player

It is noteworthy that the player, Mohamed Shawqi, suffered a sudden heart attack during his team’s match, Kafr El-Sheikh, against Al-Qazzazin, last Wednesday, November 14, when he was transferred to the Zarqa Central Hospital in Damietta Governorate. In the hospital, the player underwent intensive medical efforts in an attempt to save the player’s life and restore his pulse normally. His heart was normal, then he was transferred to the hospital under observation, before his health condition deteriorated at dawn yesterday, Tuesday, amid attempts by doctors to revive him so that his soul could recover.
