Company planning Amazon To pump a huge additional investment into Anthropic, a start-up in the field of artificial intelligence.
According to the technical website The Information, it is expected that the amount of investment to be spent by Amazon on artificial intelligence will reach: Several billion dollars.
Amazon had previously announced investments of $1.5 billion in the company last year, followed by $2.75 billion at the beginning of this year, in Amazon’s largest foreign investment in its three-decade history.
Depending on the potential new arrangements, Anthropic may have to use the AI processors that Amazon launched last November, namely Graviton4 and Trainium2.
Anthropic relies on NVIDIA processors to develop and operate its models, which dominate the artificial intelligence chip market.
Anthropic has been in talks to raise additional funding for the company recently.

In the same context, OpenAI received investments worth $6.6 billion, and its market value was estimated at $157 billion, making it the third emerging company in the world in terms of market value after ByteDance, the owner of TikTok, and SpaceX.
Amazon provides Anthropic with cloud computing services, and previously announced a strategic cooperation with Intel to develop its own artificial intelligence processors, in a move aimed at strengthening its leadership in the artificial intelligence market, despite Nvidia’s dominance.
Amazon seeks to replicate Microsoft’s investment experience in OpenAI, which used its technologies in its products and services, and Microsoft’s investment in it amounted to about $14 billion, according to some estimates.
Amazon is currently facing challenges in developing high-quality artificial intelligence systems that can be employed in its products and services, and it is still unable yet to launch an advanced version of its smart assistant, Alexa.
