Water was cut off from the eastern expansions and the green belt on October 6 due to a sudden break

The 6th of October City Development Authority announced the cut drinking water About the eastern expansion areas – Palm Hills – and the Green Belt, for 8 hours.

The agency attributed the reason for the outage to a sudden break in the line feeding these areas, stressing that repairs are underway to end the malfunction and return water to the affected areas.

The agency confirmed that drinking water trucks have been provided in the affected areas, and to request them, please call 15100 or 01150335658.

It is worth noting that Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, followed up with officials of the cities’ agencies: New Cairo, New Damietta, New Nubariya, and New Suez, the work plan for each city agency and the final preparations that have been made to receive the winter season and deal with the rain, in order to preserve Lives, property, and real estate wealth in new cities.

The Minister of Housing stressed the need for coordination with various concerned authorities, including the General Meteorological Authority and Civil Defense, as well as the need for rapid deployment of equipment, maintenance of sanitation cranes, provision of electrical current sources necessary for regular operation in the event of heavy rains, and cleansing of torrential rains and networks. Rainwater and sewage drainage, in addition to disseminating the necessary warnings about how to take precautionary measures for citizens in new cities in the event of rain.
