Readymade Garments Export aims to achieve sales of $3.3 billion by the end of 2025

Engineer Fadel Marzouk, Chairman of the Readymade Garments Export Council, said that the current edition of the Destination Africa 2024 exhibition is considered an appropriate opportunity to promote the great development achieved by the national readymade clothing, spinning and weaving industry over the past years, in terms of the quality of the products, within the framework of the Egyptian endeavors to transform into a center. To export fully-made products to the world.

Marzouk added during his statements on the sidelines of the opening of Destination Africa, in the presence of the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan Al-Khatib, and a large number of leaders in the textile and textile sectors.Readymade clothes“Destination” is the only exhibition in Egypt specialized in bilateral business meetings for the purpose of B2B export, which creates opportunities for Egyptian exporters.

Engineer Fadel Marzouk pointed out that the exhibition represents an opportunity to increase the exports of the sectors participating in the eighth edition of the exhibition, noting that Destination Africa contributes to creating industrial integration between Egyptian companies and factories and their Arab and international counterparts participating in the exhibition, as the current edition witnesses the participation of more than 220 international buyers.

The Chairman of the Readymade Garments Export Council revealed the organization of a number of workshops and discussion sessions to present sustainability in spinning, weaving and ready-made garments, and the efforts of the Readymade Garments Export Council in applying sustainability standards, preserving the environment, supporting the circular economy and clean and green energy, as well as proposals for developing production lines and developing the cultivation of long-staple cotton. And the use of modern methods of irrigation, as well as automated harvesting, with the aim of working to improve the quality of exports.

Engineer Fadel Marzouk announced that exports of the ready-made clothing sector during the period from January to September of this year achieved 2 billion and 43 million dollars, an increase of 18% compared to the same period last year, and we are targeting 2.9 billion dollars by the end of 2024.

Regarding next year’s targets, he pointed out that the Council aims for an annual growth rate of no less than 20% to levels of $3.3 billion by the end of 2025, noting that there is permanent communication with the Egyptian government in order to deal with the challenges facing the export sectors.
