Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled Hassan Said, Governor of Alexandria, received Dr. Amr Rashid, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Ambulance Authority, at the governorate’s general office, today, Friday.
Cooperation between the two sides
The two sides reviewed ways to strengthen the ambulance system in Alexandria Governorate, to ensure the provision of decent ambulance service to the people of Alexandria and its visitors, as Dr. Amr Rashid explained that Alexandria is the governorate that witnessed the birth of the Egyptian Ambulance, – specifically – in 1902, which is a strong indication of the value and status of Alexandria Governorate’s historical status of the ambulance system. The Egyptian Museum, which is currently being revived through the development of the Egyptian Ambulance Museum in Kom El-Dikka, which includes vehicles A rare, unparalleled first aid facility in the world, to put it on the tourist map of Alexandria.
The meeting discussed the Egyptian Ambulance Authority’s plan to increase ambulance coverage along the new metro project and the tram project, with a total of 26 stations, as well as the Authority’s plan to intensify ambulance coverage on a number of highways in the governorate to increase response rates and access to emergency calls, as well as the role of the Egyptian Ambulance Authority in securing visitors to Alexandria Governorate. Which represents the most attractive governorate in Egypt for domestic tourism, in the summer season. The readiness of the Egyptian Ambulance Authority to secure the coastal city, which witnesses weather fluctuations accompanying the summer season, was also discussed. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Governor of Alexandria affirmed the provision of all means of support and cooperation to provide a decent ambulance service that lives up to the international level.
