Mohamed Saad, President of the Egyptian Refining Company, said that the company has developed an ambitious plan to increase production capacity, and has begun implementing the plan in two stages.
Increasing petroleum products by 400 thousand tons annually
He added in a meeting with journalists, today, Saturday, that the first phase includes increasing the company’s production capacity by 10%, and it was actually completed during 2024, which contributed to increasing petroleum products by 400 thousand tons annually.
He explained that the second phase includes increasing the production capacity of the plants by 14% over the next five years, which contributes to increasing petroleum products by an additional 600 thousand tons annually, bringing the company’s total production capacity to 124% of the original design capacity.
