The New Pyramid Metro, Line 4, will be operational at the beginning of 2026, according to sources at the Ministry of Transport.
It connects 6th of October City with Giza, Cairo, and New Cairo, and continues its route with a light electric train from Al-Rehab to the New Administrative Capital.
The project works to reduce traffic congestion and facilitate transportation in the Giza and Greater Cairo areas.
The fourth line extends from the Hadayek Al Ashgar area in 6th of October City, through Al Haram Street, all the way to Fustat.
The project covers a distance of approximately 19 km.
It includes 16 stations extending along the route, including important vital, residential and commercial areas in Al-Haram and Giza, making it an important means of transportation for large numbers of citizens.
The implementation rates for civil works at the Pyramids station reached 34%, the Grand Museum reached 42%, and archery reached 37%.
