A young man risked his life by setting his body on fire, after pouring himself with a flammable substance, “gasoline,” in the middle of the street, in the Ezbet Rustom area. In the city of Shubra Al-Kheima, Qalyubia Governorate He was killed instantly.
Major General Abdel Fattah Al-Qassas, Director of Qalyubia Security and Assistant Minister of Interior for the Qalyubia Security Sector, was notified, and the body was transferred to Nasser Hospital at the disposal of the Public Prosecution.
Major General Mohamed Al-Sayed, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department, received a notification from Lieutenant Colonel Mustafa Diab, Head of Investigations at Al-Khanka Center, Second Division, Shubra Al-Kheima, stating that a report had been received from Nasser Hospital about the arrival of the person called Ahmed. R., 20 years old, residing in Ezbet Rustom, District 2, Shubra, a dead body, with scattered burns all over the body.
After codifying the procedures, it was found that the young man poured a flammable substance on himself in the middle of the street, in order to end his life by setting his body on fire. He was killed instantly, and the body was transferred to Nasser Hospital at the disposal of the Public Prosecution.
A report was drawn up regarding the incident and the Public Prosecution took over the investigation, which ordered the burial of the body after the autopsy was completed.
