Trump said in a statement: I am pleased to announce that the highly respected former Governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee, has been nominated for the position of United States Ambassador to Israel.
He added: Mike has been a great public servant, governor, and leader in the faith for many years.. He loves Israel and the people of Israel, and similarly, the people of Israel love him. Mike will work tirelessly to achieve peace in the Middle East.
According to Fox News, Huckabee, an ordained Baptist minister, is another one of a growing list of strong supporters of Israel who will reportedly participate in the next Trump administration.
