Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, followed the developments of the executive position of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in 6th of October City, which includes 219 residential buildings with 5,256 housing units of different sizes in the medium and premium housing axes within the initiative.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny stressed the speedy completion of the implementation of the units to make them available to citizens, in addition to the services attached to the units’ locations, as part of the Ministry of Housing’s plan to meet the desires of citizens of various income brackets to own their appropriate housing, stressing the importance of field follow-up of the various stages of implementing the units, to ensure the implementation of the contract terms. And adherence to standard specifications in implementation.
In this context, Engineer Mohamed Mostafa, Head of the 6th of October City Development Authority, made an inspection tour of the sites of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians,” accompanied by Engineer Mohamed Amr, Vice President of the Agency for Housing, Engineer Mohamed Abdel Nasser, Assistant Head of the Agency for Housing, and officials of the implementing companies.
The tour of the head of the agency, and his companions, included an inspection of the site of the presidential initiative project, “Housing for All Egyptians,” the middle housing axis, which is built on an area of 92 acres, and which is located in the industrial residential separator at the intersection of Gamal Abdel Nasser axis with the middle ring road.
Engineer Muhammad Mustafa said that about 134 residential buildings, consisting of 3,216 residential units, are being implemented, with different unit areas, varying between 100, 110, and 120 square metres, pointing out that all residential buildings contain an electric elevator, and the units consist of 3 rooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a reception hall. The project is characterized by a distinctive architectural character.
He pointed out that the project is scheduled to be completed next year, explaining that the average percentage of building implementation for the first phase of 63 buildings reached 65%, while the average percentage of building implementation in the second phase reached 34%, and it contains 71 buildings.
After that, Engineer Muhammad Mustafa, and his companions, passed through the “distinctive” above-average housing axis within the initiative, where they followed the implementation work of 85 residential buildings containing 2,040 fully finished units with an average area of 150 square meters.
Mustafa explained that the design of the residential building consists of a ground floor and 5 recurring floors, and each floor has 4 units, and each building contains an elevator to meet the desires and needs of the residents. The project is also surrounded by a wire fence, in addition to an external tree fence and gates.
He pointed out that the completion rate of work on the “Housing for All Egyptians – Above Average Housing Axis” site was about 91% for buildings and 90% for utilities (water, drainage, and irrigation).
The head of the 6th of October City Authority pointed out that an integrated services area will be implemented within the project to serve residents, including markets, shops, commercial malls, nurseries, and recreational activities, to provide amenities for residents and meet their needs.
At the conclusion of his traffic tour, Engineer Muhammad Mustafa directed the need to intensify the work, quickly complete implementation on time, pay attention to quality and daily follow-up, as well as take all legal measures against companies that fail to carry out the work.
