The steps for receiving a new school tablet in case of loss or replacement for high school students are as follows:
- Go to the Ministry’s General Office headquarters in the New Administrative Capital and submit the documents for replacing the school tablet
- After paying the value of the insurance coverage and administrative fees depending on the type of device, the guardian will be given a letter addressed to his directorate of education to deliver a replacement for the lost or replaced device.
The schools specified the documents required to receive a first secondary tablet, which include: a copy of the student’s birth certificate, a copy of the card of the father or mother present with the student to receive it, the tablet’s insurance receipt from the mail and two copies of it, a copy of the mail receipt for expenses, and the original preparatory certificate for those who did not receive it.
The schools asked the targeted students to have the student’s guardian present and prepare the required papers. The guardian and the student in the first year of secondary school should sign an acknowledgment of receiving the tablet, and that it be delivered again after completing the high school stage, and that it be preserved without tampering, damage or loss.
The decision to receive the tablet device was as follows: The form for acknowledging the receipt of a tablet device – the student and his guardian – in the general secondary school of the Educational Administration states: My son has received a tablet computer with the serial number IMEI, and my son and I are committed to preserving it from tampering, damage or loss. In the event that it is damaged or lost, I will be committed to paying the full value of the device, including all expenses incurred by the Ministry. I will also be committed to the costs of maintaining it in the event of any malfunctions. My son caused it at my own expense, at the authorized maintenance centers in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and I pledge not to repair it outside the authorized agent’s maintenance centers.
