I decided Engineers Syndicate Engineer Ahmed Al-Walid Abdel Hamid Al-Tuni was suspended from membership in all union committees and activities related to them, in light of the unfortunate events that the union witnessed yesterday evening, Tuesday.

Engineer Tariq Al-Nabrawy, head of the Engineers Syndicate, confirmed to Cairo 24: A quarrel had broken out inside the Engineers Syndicate headquarters, and these events were not appropriate for the Syndicate, so a decision was taken to suspend engineer Ahmed Al-Tuni and refer the incident for investigation.

The decision was based on Article 56, Paragraph 2, and Article 58 of the Engineers Syndicate Law No. 66 of 1974, as well as the internal and financial regulations of the Syndicate issued by the Minister of Irrigation’s Decision No. 2133 of 1975.

The decision included the formation of a union committee to investigate, headed by Engineer Hossam Afifi, head of the sub-union in Cairo, and the membership of Engineer Alaa Rayhan, Dr. Mabrouk Amer, and lawyer Farouk Bassiouni from the Legal Department of the General Union.

The decision stressed the need for the committee to submit its report within a week from the date of its issuance to present it to the Supreme Council of the Syndicate at its next session. It was also decided to call the Architectural Engineering Division to meet immediately to take the necessary measures, with an emphasis on the implementation of the decision by the competent authorities, each within its jurisdiction.
