The Governor of the Red Sea receives the French Ambassador to enhance tourism cooperation between the two countries

Major General Amr Hanafy, Governor of the Red Sea, received today, Wednesday, French Ambassador Olivier Louvain Caisseau, and his accompanying delegation, on a visit aimed at strengthening cooperation between Egypt and France, and discussing the possibilities of developing the tourism sector and increasing the number of French tourists in the Red Sea cities.

Reviewing the tourism potential of the Red Sea Governorate

During the meeting, the governor reviewed the tourism capabilities of the Red Sea Governorate, and focused on the advantages offered by the cities of Hurghada and Marsa Alam, which are two leading destinations for global tourism thanks to their charming beaches and unique coral reefs.

The two parties discussed ways to open the French market to tourism in these areas, with the aim of enhancing the movement of tourists coming from France.

Hanafi gave a detailed presentation about the advanced services and infrastructure that Hurghada enjoys, including luxury resorts and various marine activities.

The Governor of the Red Sea also highlighted Marsa Alam as an ideal destination for diving enthusiasts, due to its world-class diving sites.

The governor stressed that the Red Sea as a whole is a distinctive tourist destination that meets all the tourist aspirations of the French market.

For his part, the French ambassador praised the tourism potential that the Red Sea Governorate offers, expressing the French side’s interest in strengthening cultural and tourism cooperation between the two countries.

He stressed that increasing the number of flights for French tourism in Hurghada and Marsa Alam would be a positive step that would strengthen bilateral relations.

The meeting concluded by emphasizing the need to intensify joint efforts between the two sides to support tourism promotion in France, with a focus on highlighting the unique features of the Red Sea cities.

The governor stressed the governorate’s readiness to provide all necessary facilities to receive French tourists and increase their numbers during the coming period.

It is mentioned that Red Sea It receives increasing numbers of tourists annually thanks to its strategic location and moderate climate, which makes cooperation with the French market an important step to enhance Egypt’s position as a global tourist destination.
