The efforts of the river rescue teams in Assiut Governorate continue to search for those missing in the sunken microbus accident in the Ibrahimiya Canal for the third day in a row.

The efforts of the rescue teams succeeded in extricating 4 passengers from the ill-fated microbus in the Ibrahimiya Canal, which fell into the canal while loading passengers at the Dayrut stop.

One of the car drivers at the Dayrut parking lot confirmed that the car fell for no reason while it was stopping to load passengers, confirming that the dirt under the car’s wheels fell and pulled the car backwards, so it fell into the canal water while carrying a number of passengers on board.

The drivers continued that the driver was not at fault for the car falling into the canal, pointing out that the driver was outside the car when it fell.

The drivers of the Dayrut stop called for the establishment of a special stop for them with fences and a gate to preserve the lives of drivers and passengers at the Dayrut stop, after the accident of the microbus sinking in the Ibrahimiya Canal.
