A criminal court ruled AlexandriaHeaded by Counselor Al-Saeed Shawqi Al-Salhi, President of the Court, and with the membership of Counselor Abdel Rahman Sayed Hafez, Counselor Karem Mahmoud Rizk, Counselor Tamer Muhammad Alaa El-Din, and Secretary of the Court Ahmed Youssef Hajjaj, to punish the accused, A.B.A., with 3 years in prison, and refer the civil case. To the competent department, accusing him of wounding that led to the death of the victim, A.S.H., the delivery boy.
A delivery worker was run over in Alexandria
The details of the incident date back to August 13, 2024, when the Sidi Gaber Police Department received a report of a collision and the presence of injured people at Victor Emmanuel.
Investigations revealed that the driver of a car carrying customs license plates collided with a taxi, then assaulted its driver, and during his attempt to escape, he ran over the victim, Ahmed Saeed, a delivery worker, and dragged him for a distance of 500 metres, which led to severe injuries that claimed his life.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that the accused drove his car at an insane speed and climbed the island in the middle of the road. He collided with the victim, did not respond to any attempts at help, and dragged the victim for a long distance.
The security services were able to arrest the accused, who holds the nationality of an Arab country, and a report was filed regarding the incident.
The investigating authorities referred the accused to the Alexandria Criminal Court on charges of beating that led to death.
