Representative Ihab Mansour, Undersecretary of the Manpower Committee in the House of Representatives, said that the Building Violations Reconciliation Law must be completed as soon as possible, pointing out that 23 billion pounds is the total value so far of the revenues from the Building Violations Reconciliation Law.

The representative of the Manpower Committee in the House of Representatives added, during television statements: The amendments to the building law eliminate citizen pressures, and 250 billion pounds are an expected return to the state from the building violations reconciliation law.

In contact, Dr. Manal Awad, Minister, revealed Local developmentThe reconciliation position is in accordance with Law No. 17 of 2019, amended by Law No. (1) of 2020, while the number of requests reached about 3 million requests from the beginning of the law on 7/8/2019 until 5/7/2024, and what was decided upon amounted to about 1 750 million applications until the beginning of November 2024, and work is underway on the remaining applications, praising the efforts made by the governors and all the executive leadership in the governorates, including the secretaries of general and the heads of cities, centers, and neighborhoods, to advance the pace of work in reconciliation.

Dr. Manal Awad reviewed the efforts made by the Ministry to facilitate reconciliation procedures, which included; Making amendments to the executive regulations and the system of procedures during the previous period to solve implementation problems, for example, and the entity will be refunded within 30 days instead of 60 days, and it will be sufficient for the citizen to acknowledge his responsibility for providing civil protection for the building instead of having a civil protection member in the technical committee in order to save time and costs.
