Data from the Central Bank of Egypt revealed that the value of installments and debt interest owed by Egypt during the year 2025 amounts to about $22.4 billion.
It is worth noting that Egypt is preparing to pay 5 installments to the International Monetary Fund during the month of December.
The value of the installments is $931.887 million, as they are due this December as part of the fund’s dues worth $6 billion during 2024.
The value of loan installments due was calculated according to the SDR exchange rate of 0.761088 to the dollar.
The dates and amounts of installments are as follows:
• The first installment of $190.195 million on December 19
• 3 installments worth $503.947 million on December 26
• The last installment of $237.745 million on December 30
Egypt is also waiting to receive $1.3 billion after the end of the fourth term of the $8 billion loan.
