The financial statements of the Bank of Egypt revealed that the retail banking portfolio at the Bank of Egypt increased to 123.768 billion pounds by the end of June 2024, compared to 115.055 billion pounds in December 2023.
Real estate loans
Real estate loans increased to record 19.079 billion pounds by the end of June 2024, compared to 17.922 billion pounds in December 2023.
Personal loans
The bank’s personal loan portfolio increased to record 93.933 billion pounds at the end of June 2024, compared to 86.397 billion pounds at the end of December 2023.
Current accounts at the Bank of Egypt recorded 2.654 billion pounds at the end of June 2024, compared to 3.592 billion pounds at the end of December 2023.
Credit cards
The bank’s credit card balances increased to record 7.625 billion pounds at the end of June 2024, compared to 6.311 billion pounds at the end of December 2023.
Other loans at Banque Misr recorded 477 million pounds at the end of June 2024, compared to 833 million pounds at the end of December 2023.
